Work in progress: two icons

I took a little break from painting icons. Well, not exactly I guess you could say I have been doing research on other icon types I have not yet written. These two are ones I researched and am writing now.
I just put on the gold leaf in the halos today. As as soon as I grind my paints I will begin with the first layer of paint. In writing icons I use egg tempera that I grind myself.
