On another Retreat

I am leading another retreat this weekend. The intentional community of which I am prior is having a retreat, we are taking sometime to hang out at an Abbey and pray and review our rule and common life. So, not quite the same as leading the retreat last week which was for people I mostly did not know.

    The retreat was very peaceful and productive. We prayed with the monks (not every office but 4 of them Lauds, Terce, Sexte, and vespers). It was a key time for our community, the first time in the five years of our existence as a community that we went on a retreat together, we are planning this to be our first annual retreat. And I am thinking that developing some sort of relationship with the Abbey might be a good idea, even if it means simply going there every year for our retreat.
